Chairman’s Message

Today in Gujarat due to Amul pattern based robust three tier co-operative structure the income of farmers is continuously increasing and due to higher returns in milk production through animal husbandry business, AH business is being accepted by farmers as an alternative business and not a supplement to agriculture. Animal husbandry business has become a stable source of self-employment and income so that rural families are motivated to live with dignity. Dairying activity is making a significant contribution in changing the living standards of small, marginal farmers and women & It is considered to be the backbone of small to medium farmers for the sustainable economic needs throughout the year irrespective of any major influencing factors like draught, monsoon and any other economic uncertainties.

Five decades from today, Sabar Dairy has also given a true and sustainable direction of development to the rural life of the Sabarkantha & Arvalli District by uniting unorganized milk producers on a cooperative basis and creating an integrated three-tier business structure (Amul pattern) on cooperative basis. Through all these efforts, animal husbandry and milk business have proved to be important for the social and economic development of the district and have proved to be the lifeline of the district. Now in our both district dairying is a movement, representation of economic freedom of farmers, It has given farmers the courage to dream, to hope and to live.

Today, Sabar Dairy has reached the highest peak of the successful development journey since 1964 which is a source of pride for all of us and all milk producers are truly deserving of this success. In year 2020-21 turnover of union reached to Rs.5710.36 crore which could be achieved only with faith of milk producers in our cooperative strength & values. Producer members are the soul of our union & With your support I assure, that we will make exemplary progress in line with the path shown by our visionary leaders Dr.V.Kurien, Bhurabhai Patel, Gopal Bhai Patel & Ambubhai Patel.

In today’s fast-paced world I would like to urge you all to take a modern and scientific approach in this field to get better earning and higher progress by making the slogan “More quality milk production at lower cost” meaningful. There are ample opportunities in dairying and the future looks very bright for dairying too.

Various supportive schemes are being implemented by the Animal Husbandry Department, Gujarat State to provide modern infrastructure facilities and equipment for the milk societies & Milk producers with financial assistance is very commendable. Taking advantage of the schemes, the societies are equipped with modern facilities and are playing a role as an economic hub for the transformation of farmers at the village level.

Given today’s current trends, changes, competition and challenges in the dairy business, there is a special need to make continuous efforts to make our dairy cooperative activities strong, sustainable and world class

I am sure with the whole hearted dedication, support and cooperation from all of you we will reach further heights and progress ensuring maximum benefits to our producer members. we shall continue our efforts to take SABAR many steps ahead of others.

We are always committed to provide maximum returns to our producer members. Efforts are on to integrate our business with innovative ideas adopting state of the art technologies and process of value addition.
